｜Origin and cultivation method｜


Akoya pearls mainly come from Japan and are seawater cultured pearls. The commonly used oyster species is Pinctada fucata. During the cultivation process, the bead nucleus and a small piece of shell tissue are implanted in the oyster. As the oyster secretes nacre, it is gradually covered and eventually forms a pearl.


|Appearance characteristics|


· Gloss and roundness: known for its extremely high mirror gloss, uniform roundness and fine surface.

· Size and color: The diameter is usually between 3 and 9 mm. The main color is white or cream. Some pearls may have subtle pink or silver tones.

· Scoring criteria: The quality is mainly judged by gloss, surface blemishes, shape, size and color uniformity.
